Singapore, 11 Feb 2009 - Datacraft has successfully completed a smooth migration for Zuellig Pharma's entire directory system as it upgraded over 3,300 staff to a new Windows 2003 server. The migration, which used Quest Migration Suite, took less than half the time expected without system downtime and disruptions to the users.

Due to strong growth, Zuellig Pharma had more than doubled its number of IT users in six years. As a result, the performance of its legacy Windows 2000 IT infrastructure was becoming less efficient, with systems administrators spending more time and financial resources maintaining and running the system. However, migrating the system involved a significant effort as it involved over 3,300 user accounts on 2,500 workstations and 232 work groups.

Being in the healthcare business, we need to continuously meet the ever-growing demands of our market, said Chris Holton, Zuellig Pharma's Operations Director. Completing this project in the shortest timeframe possible was critical for us. I was impressed that Datacraft completed the project in half the time estimated.

After careful evaluation of Zuellig Pharma's infrastructure and the solutions available on the market, Datacraft recommended the Quest Migration Suite for Active Directory to complete a smooth and cost-effective migration. The Migration Suite for Active Directory is a ZeroIMPACT solution that plans and executes migrations to Active Directory from Windows NT, Novell NDS or Active Directory with no interruptions to daily business operations.

Zuellig Pharma used Migration Manager to efficiently migrate and restructure the Active Directory and provide co-existence between migrated and non-migrated users. Quest Reporter was deployed to collect data on the Active Directory and Windows-based configurations, providing reports for change auditing, security assessments and pre and post-migration analyses.

We barely noticed the migration process thanks to Datacraft's professionalism and Quest's migration tools. It was business as usual for Zuellig Pharma - our terminals were fully operational and online. There were no significant effects on our users' productivity. In fact, many expressed their satisfaction with the smooth migration process, said Holton.
